I am truly in love with my best friend!

Me and my now girlfriend met in the United States Air Force in 2006. When we first met we were immediately drawn to each other though we were complete opposites. She was A country girl from Wisconsin, I was a city boy from California. She wanted a family and I was completely content being a single bachelor. We were inseparable but it was strictly a best friend realationship.

Eventually, I ended up deploying to Afghanistan and she went to Quatar, that's really where we were forced to go our separate directions. Over the next few years she ended up getting married and having a beautiful daughter and I lived out my bachelor dreams and traveled the world. After her separation, she ended up moving to Las Vegas and I, in typical bachelor fashion, brought my friends to Sin City to celebrate my 32nd birthday.

Knowing that my once best friend was in Las Vegas I invited her to meet up and the rest as they say "is history". I never believed at love at first sight until that day, October 29th 2017. The connection was undeniable and we immediately knew what ever this was, it was incredibly special.

Fast forward 5 months, we separated... Things just happened too fast and neither of us knew who we were any longer. The separation was hard and long but looking back now, worth it. Now we were able and willing to give each other 100%.

When we reconnected I brought this amazing gift and let's just say it was very well received; I didn't know someone could cry so much! We are now stronger than ever and our #underourluckystars art will always be our most prized possession.

This start chart is the way the stars looked the night my boyfriend and I met.

He was working, and I was buying some dog food for my coworker’s secret Santa present, and I bumped into him. Immediately, I looked up at him and my jaw dropped. It was love at first sight for me, and this was such a special and life changing night for the both of us.

Stars are special for us because I saw my very first shooting star while I was with him on our first date, so it was only fitting to get him a star chart of the night we met.

On May 7th, 2017 in Fountain Colorado at the Fountain Creek Nature Center in front of the most beautiful cherry blossom tree!
My husband & I got married. He was an SPC in the Army and our lives were up in the air when we decided to get married. I was over the moon! It was a small ceremony with our close friends an very little family! We had a simple yet elegant untraditional start but Fountain will forever be the start to something great amongst the two of us!
Thank you for such a beautiful piece to remind us where we have started from!

My boyfriend made me this amazing star chart which commemorates the exact date, place, and time we first met (Key Largo, 1-2-19, 11:00 pm)!

I was on vacation, visiting from Michigan and he is a local. We sat together around a fire, staring at the captivating ocean and the brilliant stars that lit up the sky. Together, we pointed out constellations and soaked up every second together.

He wanted me to have something that would remind me of the amazing night when we first met. The chart shows not only the time and coordinates, with also the same stars we gazed upon as well as an outline of the Florida Keys. Moreover, a note at the bottom, “The night we first met.”

Since then, we’ve shared so many adventures (like petting a bear) and things have been wonderful since.

My daughter always had a passion for staring into the night sky. As part of her High School Senior Project, she chose to learn astrophotography and took amazing images of the moon, and far away galaxies.

So, for her graduation, I thought it would make an amazing gift to give her this beautiful presentation of the night sky the moment she was born.

It brought tears to her eyes when we gave it to her on Graduation Day. She is our sky full of stars.

Staten Island, NY, USA on the 9th of January, 2019, at 4:25am

A story by Jeremy D at Staten Island, NY, USA on the 9th of January, 2019, at 4:25am

On January 9th, 1999, my mother gave birth after several hours of induced labor. I was over a week late and born with a full head of hair. From the very beginning, my grandmother was there to love and care for me.

We lived in my mother's childhood home with my grandparents. My grandmother worked double duty as my on-call baby sitter. She kept a pocket calendar for over thirty years, making several entries about our days together whether it was at home or out at the park. I always felt truly loved and adored by my grandmother - she was in every regard my second mom.
That strong connection continued to grow and develop over the years. She trusted me with many things and was certain that whatever she did for me and my family would not go unappreciated. She took us on our first trip to Walt Disney World which sparked a joy in me to the point that I now work for The Walt Disney Company; she took me to my first Broadway show which opened my eyes to musical theater - I now work at The Lion King on Broadway; and she was always one to give my sister and I money when we would leave the house just to spoil us a bit. All the good things she brought us would come full circle in her time of need.

After more than 8 months away from home, I had finally returned in the summer of 2018 from my travels across the country and across the world. My grandmother had been diagnosed with pneumonia and we thought nothing of it - within a month the diagnosis had been changed to stage four lung cancer. Immediately we began treatment. Shortly into her treatment, fluid was found around her heart and she had to undergo open heart surgery - my once strong grandmother, who would regularly walk my dog for miles, could now barely stand, let alone speak.

We watched her suffer as she began to realize that everything we were doing to fight this cancer was too little, too late; something we never felt was true until January 8th, 2019 when we made the call to 911.

My grandmother's eyes were the clearest they've ever been; she was happy to have reached the end of her journey, but we were terrified to think of a life without her. I spent the day gathering as much family as I could at the hospital - we managed to get close to all of our immediate family, which is over 40 people, including family friends and my dog.

After everyone had come and went, it was just my mom, dad, grandpa, his sister and myself in the room with her. We took our turns staying yet another final goodbye, but it wasn't until my grandfather sat with her that she was ready to go. At 8:49 AM I was born, and halfway to that at 4:25 AM on my 20th birthday, I lost my grandmother to the stars.

In just a short five months my grandmother went from being healthy as a horse to my guardian angel, which she will be forever. I long for the day's I will be able to see my dancing queen again, but until then we will forever honor her memory by spreading the love that she so graciously gave to those around her - she is remembered by all for her generosity and love.

A story by Christy A.T at Jackson, TN, USA on the 29th of May, 2016, at 12:00pm

Dave & I met as kids at church camp attendees as we lived in the same area of the state. Then we met again as a freshman in college when a friend of his introduced us. We smiled and shared pleasantries but that was about it.

Then life happened - he went one direction and I went another and our society became more technology driven. On May 29, 2016 - 30 years later - while reviewing various posts on Facebook, I got notification of "someone you may know" and I realized it was Dave. So I "friended" him on Facebook & then sent him a private message asking if he and his family would like to get together for dinner at some point and catch up on the last 30 years. He responded and said he wasn't married but had a daughter and grandchildren. He told me he was currently working out of the country until October but would enjoy having dinner when he returned. We spent the next 5 months communicating daily through emails, texts, facebook messenger and snail mail. When he came home in October - we went out for dinner & the rest is history!

I chose to make our star chart of that 1st Facebook communication because that one message opened up the door to what has become a most wonderful friendship and life adventure filled with laughter and love! That one moment in time with that one choice to make contact has made all the difference in the world for us!

A story by Kole T at Lee's Summit, MO, USA on the 17th of May, 2019, at 2:00pm

I started dating Courtney in July of 2016.

In October of 2018, I proposed to her and she said yes. Courtney is an avid stargazer and we have taken many trips to dark deserted fields to watch shooting stars and just gaze up at their beauty. When I was looking for a wedding gift for her, I happened to see an ad for this star map that allows you to pick the time and place and have it accurately represent the stars in the sky. I knew this was what I wanted. As I was shopping I noticed y'all also had phone cases. I made a phone case at the time of our engagement and ordered the wall-hanging to be my wedding gift to her. I asked her to open the gift just before we met on our wedding day, and her tears said it all!
Thank you so much for being apart of our special story!

A story by Ashley B at Woodstock, GA, USA on the 23rd of May, 2015, at 6:00pm

May 23 ,2015. The day my husband and I got married.

The day we proved to everyone we beat the odds against us. We were young parents and struggled to finish high school. Then my mother-in-law was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and she passed. Then I was diagnosed with an ovarian syndrome 3 months before our wedding.
I was pretty sure my husband wasn’t going to marry me at that point because I was now going to have difficulty having more children. And through everything, we got married on May 23, 2015.
On July 13, 2017, we found out we were having another baby after a long struggle and my due date was on my mother-in-laws birthday! We just celebrated our 4th anniversary this year and I saw this and ordered one because our stars really aligned in our lives.
When it arrived, I couldn't believe one of the constellations! It was two people holding hands. It truly is so beautiful and telling of our lives together. Through everything, we always stood by each other and now I get to tell this story every time someone asks ‘what is that picture?’ This has been the most meaningful gift I have given.
